On the “when I settle list” (which I started about 7 years ago), right between the (crossed-off) items of, “window sill herb garden,” and “adopted cat,” I have, “book club.” And, regardless of how domestic the agenda may seem, I’ve got no shame in hosting gatherings of quality people and literature exploring the themes of our lives through the chapters and mirrors of others.
Just wanted to share a few of my favorite titles read in the last few months…..

“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” was recommended to me by some fellow Aussie travellers that I met in India. I picked up a copy when I returned home and really enjoyed it. Its a story, narrated from a child who suffers from autism. The author cleverly wrote the book in such a way that it wasn’t only entertaining, but so that you could understand the narrator’s mental thought process… I’d recommend it…
I just cracked open a book called Dreaming in Hindi and it made me think of you, open my laptop, and see if you had posted anything new! Also, just finished My Sisters Keeper, a total tearjerker.
Im putting all yours on my library request list!
I would be apart of your book club any day! Especially with amazing selections like those. Tim Obrien’s The Things They Carried is my favorite on your list. Can’t wait until your next post.
Good choices!
