creation myth continued…

…first her camera was stolen.

…then her ibook died.

And she shrugged with a heavy sigh.

…but then her insurance claim was approved.

…and her ibook was covered by some mysterious extended warranty.

And she winked back at the Universe and whispered…

“Well if you insist on conspiring to help me, then I insist on taking you up on that offer.”

Then she snapped her fingers.

And videoblogging on was born.

(No. I’m not in India *although I will be again before then end of 2006*. I’m in Boulder, Colorado. And that story is to come.)

Haha you ended up in Boulder, eh? Funny/interesting to me because in the time that i’ve been reading your blog and sending the occasional thank-you-for-inspiring-me email; you always seemed to be in some unfamiliar location. But now it appears you have surfaced in a town that I know well and visit regularly (grew up in Estes Park, school at CU in Boulder). What are you doing in Boulder? Where-there-be-dragons recruiting or something?

    ~take care,
    Darin (presently in Austin… still)

I’m glad everything worked out for you. I’ve been following your blog through Yahoo 360. As a new elementary teacher I hope to include your stories and pictures into the classroom. They are truly remarkable and inspiring. Keep it up!

Happy Birthday Sol! I recently found your site and when reading your past posts today I noticed yesterday was your b-day…hope you had a good one. I absolutely love your blog! It’s great to hear stories from someone who shares a similar wanderlust for the world.
