A few months ago I found a letter in a collapsing cardboard box that my mother had shipped to me after cleaning out her basement. It was an agent rejection for a book proposal I submitted 16 years ago. I pinned it to my wall in admiration of my 25-year old gall.

Now, I’m pinning my new agent contract next to it. So they can have a chat. ❤️
